DIY Lotion Bar

Ashley will be showing you how to make your own lotion bar and talking about how important it is to know what ingredients are in your skincare products. She will also share about how it is important to be aware of what you are putting on your skin because it is the biggest organ of the body.

What you'll need

  • Shea Butter: 3.5 oz
  • Coconut oil: 3.5 oz
  • Beeswax: 3.5 oz
  • Essential oil of your choice: 35 drops
  • Scale
  • Saucepan
  • Mason jar or Pyrex measuring cup
  • Parchment paper
  • Bread pan

Because our skin is the largest organ of the body it is important to have clean ingredients.

All products are made with pure, simple, natural, organic, understandable ingredients.

Fill a small saucepan with 1-2" of water and bring to a boil.

Add shea butter, coconut oil and beeswax to a mason jar or pyrex measuringcup and sent into the pot.

Boil until melted, then remove from heat.

Add essential oil, and stir until combined.

Line a bread pan with parchment paper or use an ice cube tray.

While still liquid, pour into molds and allow to harden.
