COMMUTER CONSERVATION

Vehicle carbon emissions have been proven to have a significant impact on the environment. In 2020, ACHS significantly reduced our commuter carbon emissions by saving an average of 280 daily driving miles from mid-March through December.

GREEN TEXTBOOKS

We continue to partner with a local printer mirroring the mission of sustainability by printing on paper stocks that are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and Rainforest Alliance certified. ACHS’s textbook publisher also recycles 100% of all byproduct from paper processing and printer waste including toner, toner cartridges, and parts.

While some students prefer a printed copy of the ACHS publisher’s textbooks, over 50% of students elect the “Green Option”, opting for a digital eTextbook through their online classroom.

PRIDE IN PAPERLESS

In 2020, ACHS fully adopted DocuSign as a paperless solution for reviewing, signing and collecting important documents, including enrollment management, student registration, and HR processes. With Docusign, ACHS continues to positively impacting the forest and carbon emissions by replacing paper processes with digital transactions.
